Industry and construction have seen relatively high growth; industrial production continues to develop and has been identified as the driving force behind the province’s economic growth. Alongside this, the investment environment has steadily improved; investment attraction has increased significantly, making the province the leader in the Mekong Delta region in attracting both domestic and foreign investment. The province has focused on mobilizing all available resources to build a comprehensive technical infrastructure system to support the coordinated development of industry and society, particularly in transportation, electricity, and water supply… which generally meets the requirements for industrial economic development.
